Biography of Matt MacQueen

Matt MacQueen co-hosted the Clinically Inclined show with David Siska on Friday evenings until September 2006. Matt has been orbiting WNUR since 1999, always with an emphasis on mixing brand new music with proper classics. His DJ sets highlight the latest in Detroit-flavored Techno and House, with a strong nod to it's roots; the 70's and 80's classics of the pre-techno era like funk, soul-jazz, Italo disco, new wave and first-generation jackin' Chicago house. Digging deep in the crates, Matt makes a concerted effort to mix a wide variety of funky futuristic grooves from ALL genres and years, in the spirit of Detroit's most inspirational and open-minded radio DJ: Electrifyin' Mojo (AKA - Charles Johnson, respect!).

You'll hear future/past sounds on labels like: Metroplex, Sound Signature, Transmat, Buzz, UR, Loft/Garage Classics, Red Planet, Warp, 2000 Black, Soul Jazz, A.R.T., Trax, Environ, DJ International, B12, Peacefrog, M-plant, Delsin, Basic Channel, KMS, Rush Hour, Prelude, West End, Fragile, DJ International, Stax, Planet E, Archive, Emoticon, deFocus, KDJ, Prescription, Axis, Clone, R&S, Viewlexx, Network, Music For Speakers, Seventh City, downLow, Fuzz Dance... plus brand new/emerging labels worldwide.
