Biography of Antijorge
Antijorge (Jorge Goyco) started producing and mixing in 1997 under the name antidote on the N*Soul record label. After 4 years and 3 albums later (and some disputes), was released from label contract.
His projects include antidote (funky breaks/trance), ADVRS (Hard Trance/DNB), Seratonic (TripHop/Chill), BoomBoomButterfly (Part 1=Ambient/TripHop, Part 2=Electro/Breaks), Deathbed Antics (Electroclash/Breaks/pop).
These projects are available for download on the website.
Longest set he DJed was at a youth lock-in in Houston, Texas for 10 hours straight. Powered by hot dogs, sodas and donuts
No longer DJing, and hasn't produced electronic music for a few years, but will be back in the future with more releases.
Check out his blog at: http://lovegodloveothers.wordpress.com. Look for the series 'What Really Happens at Raves'.
Antijorge is a Christian, although you won't find blatant samples about Jesus and God in his tracks, you won't find offensive lyrics either.
Most of his tracks are very dark, born out of 4AM epiphanies in the middle of a writhing crowd of ravers under spinning lasers and pounding bass.
His influences range from Teebee to Uberzone to Shiny Toy Guns to Dieselboy to Prodigy to Vapourspace to bjork. It's all over the place.
Places he's DJed: Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Charlotte, Atlanta, Oklahoma City and other small towns along the way.
DJing was a vehicle for getting people to listen to the tracks he produced. He does not claim to be a good DJ, bearable...no trainwrecks anyway.
