Biography of Sadeq

Having recently relocated to Toronto from New York City, Sadeq had been DJing at numerous New York locations over the past few years, playing a techy-electro style of House, BUT with a huge appreciation for anything “electronic”. This led to the fortnightly BALANCE parties at Opium Den, where he introduced up and coming local DJs to the East Village crowd, carrying a variety of different styles of house. He also featured at several other locations, including Sullivan Room (opening for JT Donaldson), Opium Den, Buddha Lounge, Delft, Glass and WST Lounge. And these are the experiences that he now brings to Toronto, where he has featured at a few locations as well, including Sugar Club, Banzai Sushi and Spin Gallery.

Hailing from the tiny Middle Eastern island of Bahrain, Sadeq’s style keeps developing with the rapid advances in electronic music, lately spinning some deep/techy-electro grooves, but maintaining his faith in upbeat sounds. His experiences in DJing vary from clubs to radio to outdoor events, over a period of 10 years, but have mostly been focused on dancing and lounge venues. Sadeq will be starting a fortnightly residency at foundation room in November 2006. His recent gigs include New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (2005) gigs in Hawaii, and a visit back to his home country which saw him spinning at a few club and after-hour parties, including opening for OMID/16B (Arena… Always On!) during Bahrain’s 2005 Formula 1 weekend.

Biography of Marc-Paul Gauthier

Marc-Paul Gauthier might be one of Toronto's most prolific DJs...

'My focus is definitely house, but depending on the venue and the mood of the crowd, you'll hear anything from Electro House, Tech House, Deep House and that interesting blend of rock, funk and a DJ friendly beat we've decided to clump into the vast genre of 'Electronica'. Regardless of what you want to call it or how I may micro-niche it, everything is bouncy, funky, and most importantly, FUN!'

Marc-Paul also carries a fancy collection of Drum n Bass, old school 70's Funk and delightfully cheesy 80's Rock just to keep things interesting. Studio work is also coming along nicely. Sign up to the newsletter and we will keep you posted on new recordings and audio projects.
