Biography of Si Clone
Si Clone became interested in electronic music in the early nineties, influenced by the early club scene, and various outdoor events. He began collecting early Detroit, and U. K. techno & electronica in '94, and soon had quite a healthy collection. His first gigs were at various outdoor events in and around Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Cairns from '98 onwards.
Si Clone moved to Byron Bay in 2000, and quickly got involved with the local scene, co-promoting and djing at the legendary Tempura Tek nights at the old Carpark nightclub. Si Clone has also successfully promoted his own events: EAT- Electronic.Adult.Themes and Submerged here in Byron Bay for the past few years. These events focus on cutting edge underground electronic beats.The Clone specializes in electro, but also plays an eclectic mix of techno, breaks, electronica, house, experimental, ambience and basically anything that is fresh.
Si Clone has played alongside internationals such as Freddy Fresh(Eye Q), Bass Junkie(Battle Trax), Tipper (Fuel Recordings), Dj Godfather(Twilight 76), Deetron (Music Man), The Herbaliser(Ninja Tunes), Neotropic(Ninja Tunes), Dee Kline (Botchit & Scarper), SOTO(Botchit & Scarper), Meat Katie(Kingsize), and Freestylers(Freskanova/PIAS) .
