Biography of Milieu
Milieu explores existential sojourns into the realm of deep techno. He has been djing and producing techno, broken beat since 2000, and is also in charge of the production group Detroit Revival Society, an organization that has been coordinating electronic events in the metro area since 1999. He has a very subtle style which melds airy, atmospheric undertones with raucous beats: the result is an ethereal symbioses of aural felicity. His production is based on texturized beats to the likes of Autechre and Arovane. Glitched-out, squealing mayhem craddled by gentle melodies and placid harmonies. He is also part of Detroit's broken beat duo Amorphous Puddle of Sound, who put out an EP, The Tesseract:Prt 1, in 2003.
