1988
Roland begins his career as a DJ at the innovative and now legendary Rave Club in Cologne. Commercialisation soon creeps into Acid House, however, causing the decline of the scene and the eventual closure of the Rave Club.

1990

1992
Roland moves to the Warehouse in Cologne, where as a resident DJ, he mixes alongside the most prominent Djs of the scene and begins to develope an international reputation. During this year, he first begins to work on his own projects, releasing his first 12' single. Feel The Speed, under the pseudonym Exeter and building his own studio. Here he records The Warehouse EP, which he releases under his own name. In addition to all of this, he starts the Psycho Thrill night with Claus Bachor at the Ballhaus in Bonn.

1994
The Warehouse closes, but Psycho Thrill developes a huge cult following and an unparalleled reputation. Roland also works with legends of the Detroit/Chicago scenes, such as Underground Resistance, Derrick May, Dave Clarke, Ian Pooley and Jeff Mills.

1995
With the closure of Ballhaus, Psycho Thrill moves to 42 d.p., a larger club in Cologne, increasing Roland´s popularity. Alongside his DJ activities, Roland steps up his own releases, including several on the Labworks label, under the pseudonym Integrated Circuits, followed by Ghost Trax, his first full length CD. He releases tracks on Communique and Head in the Clouds as Dan Eben and on Jakpot as Trollin´ Dwarf.

1996
Roland starts his own label, Essence, in cooperation with Roadrunner. Besides Roland´s own releases, the label is primarily set up as a forum for newcomers to the german Techno and Acid underground. In the course of the first year, thirteen 12' singles and the Psycho Thrill compilation are released to great critical acclaim.

1997
After ten years in the business, Roland can look back upon a unique carrer. The climax to this career is the release of the new double CD Roland Casper.
Also new releases on his Label Essence and other Labels, such as Frisbee, are planned and as well as some Remixes.

1998

In those days he couldn’t make a living out of his hobby, but a short time later his extraordinary talent was discovered and his career was accelerated. With the national DJ-Contest, in which he achieved second place, he gained attention from a nation wide audience.
