Biography of Pepo Lanzoni
Pepo got into electronic music as a promoter, organizing the jockey's sundays at Cala Jondal, Ibiza. His relation with the turntables begins during this first period, after that, it becomes his main passion. Pepo started playing at small clubs of the island at the end of 2001, by that time he agreed with Space to open on friday night (for the first time), the party was called La Comunidad, quality music and national dj's were the bottom line of the party. The initial idea was the desire of giving an innovative and different music concept to ibiza. Pepo lanzoni made it possible, and now La Comunidad has become a reality that is still going on and growing up.
Pepo's sets are about techno, but because of his residency no style got's censored: minimal, electro, acid... always keeping coherence and strength.
Until today Pepo Lanzoni has expressed his electronic music understanding in clubs such as Tresor (Berlin), DEMF'06 (Detroit), The Loft (Barcelona, where he's got a residency), Moog (Barcelona), Le Palace (Marsella), Barraca (Valencia), Pagoa (San Sebastian), Discotheque (Barcelona)…
To satisfy his artistic interests, Pepo Lanzoni is working on a new facet as a producer, after working for a year in Ibiza and Berlin, he has just created Industria, a label that will try to hold most trends, and with the aim of uncover the underground movement in ibiza.
