Biography of Tipper
Tipper makes music for sound systems, with a diversity that ranges from bass fuelled electro-breaks, to hip-hop, to intricately programmed downtempo, to full orchestral compositions etc; music that demands to be played at high volumes to unleash their lethal potential. With a musical background in classical training, and listing influences from drum & bass, to hip-hop, to electronica, Tipper has created his own brand of devastating dancefloor bombs and after club ear-teasers. He is admired for being 'streaks ahead,' and his 'expertly crafted' productions are dubbed as being 'frightening yet refreshing?cif it doesn't move you check for a pulse.'
Tipper has also been heavily experimenting with 'surround sound', and the possibilities of taking sound to new levels. After many hours of tweaking, Tipper has just completed his latest album 'SURROUNDED.' Mixed in a 5.1 studio in Los Angeles, he has created a whole new listening experience, with melting melodies, intricate programming, and sounds that circle you in a teasing and sometimes disorienting manner. Once again, Tipper ventures into new ground with this album, keeping it in the downtempo arena and exploring a wide range of styles that flow effortlessly and seamlessly from start to finish.
Not surprisingly this unique and effective sound is in high demand. Tipper has remixed a host of artists including such emissaries as Leftfield, Grooverider, S.I. Futures, mu-ziq, Headrillaz, and the seminal Africa Bambaata. He has released 9 singles and 2 albums through labels Fuel, Higher Ground and Sony; he has also written for the Renault Laguna and Board X TV advertising campaigns.
As a DJ/performer his prestigious talents are well respected throughout the breaks scene and beyond. In a recent pole for DJ magazine he was voted ahead of fellow breaks luminaries Hyper, Rennie Pilgrem, Freq Nasty and BLIM. His fluent mixing and remarkable scratching skills have secured him gigs throughout the world.
2001 and 2002 both proved to be busy years for Tipper. With the mix compilation 'Sound Off' released in May 2001; his album 'Holding Pattern' released in October the same year backed up by single releases 'Tug Of War,' 'Furlong,' and 'Donut,' Dave has been creating storms on dancefloors and fields alike. In February 2002 he completed a mini-tour of Australia, followed by a summer tour of the USA which took in the Fusion Festival, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver and the infamous Burning Man Festival. He has just completed recent gigs throughout Europe and the U.K. as part of the 'Sound Off' promotional tour alongside fellow breakz assassins Buckfunk 3000, Cold Fusion Mafia and Salim Rafiq.
And with the advent of 2003, his relentless work-ethic continues with another round of forthcoming tours of both Australia and the USA; a new single release for Fuel, exclusive tracks for their next 'Sound Off' compilation; and the release of his 5.1 'SURROUNDED' album in April 2003. He has been dubbed 'the future of electronic dance music,' and 'the best breaks DJ in the world' by some industry insiders and fellow artists. And all at the ripe old age of 25! Biography of Fine Cut Bodies
Even though the name Fine Cut Bodies implies more than one person, behind the FCB letters is only one man, Kevin aka Attila Fodor. His musical tastes are extremely broad which is reflected in the musical preferences of Chi Recordings, the label he co-founded in 2000: from minimal house to breakbeat and all the way through experimental music styles including dub, headz, broken beat, techno, electro - and even some that defies classification. In clubs Kevin mostly spins midtempo dance music (house, techno, breakBeat, electro, minimal, techHouse, brokenBeat), but this is not a limiting factor when it comes to his work in the studio or his legendary radio sets. His taste is determined more by his musical attitude than by any specific genre: he looks for music that's experimental but not selfish, interesting but not unlistenable.
With the label, clubnights, radioshows and mixed-genre clubmixes, Kevin is one of the most important taste-maker DJs in Hungary. Over the last few years he has been one of the key DJs/promoters that built up the huge breaks scene in Hungary (in 2004 he won the 'Best Hungarian Breaks DJ' award on the biggest Hungarian internet magazine's voting (Impulsecreator), although he is not playing more breaks than any other genres.) Kevin was also the first promoter to book minimal, tech-house acts, starting to build up the world class underground house scene in Budapest today.
As a producer, he has released tracks in many genres and is always looking for new sonic adventures. This is why you can find his music on house labels, breakbeat playlists, or in downtempo sets worldwide. Kevin's tracks have been licensed for numerous compilations such as Uberzone's Y4K on Distinctive and Phil K's latest Hi-Fi and he has collaborated with and remixed for some of the hottest names in electronic music such as Elite Force, Fink, Ben Mono, Switch, Danny Bonnici, Chris Carter, Rich Thair, Tipper, Tigrics, AMB, Habersham, Big Hair, Transparent Sound, Audio Soul Project - to name but a few.

Comment: Under the genre 'Ambient', uh???? Come on guys, where's 'Electronic' ? Or 'Various' or 'Mix' ?
This is a stunning piece and all goes out to Tipper for submitting this. 2007 when this was done? It's futuristic and will remain in the archives as a most innovative piece, Trentemoller is another of thos boys who are into the same shizz, electronic/electronica/glitch/minimal tech/dub, love it, will always love it, as long as it's done well, and these boys do !
Recommended to anyone who has an alternative ear that wants to hear what the future is all about, cos this is definately it.
* Though, I've gotta admit, doing this multi-genred type of music isn't all that new, as Justin Robertson, Mr C, Swayzak and peeps used to do a milestone ago, but you guys have perfected it ;) *
