Biography of Dogma 3000
Dogma 3000 are Damir Ludvig and Goran Stetic.
The duo worked on eight releases including the remix of Overlords 'God's eye on Goa'. They produced an electro funk and techno pop material, a kind of music they used to listen to back in the eighties. Damir and Goran composed music for Croatian National Television's 'Good Morning Croatia' and for the art and culture show 'Urban Code'. While Ludvig concentrated on his DJ gigs on festivals like Love Parade, Stetic spent more time in the studio engineering and mastering their new music.
The third album 'Strukture' was released under the name Legura and it represented a new blend of tribal chants and futuristic beats. In May they made an electro remix of an Eye Q classic Vernon 'The Wonderer'. In July, Ludvig and Stetic played live on word's biggest electronic music festival Love Parade in Berlin. In December they composed music for a documentary movie 'Pines and Firs' presenting their skills in film music.
Dogma 3000 are the first solo act to release an album on the Return to the Source label, rather then as a part of RTTS's famous compilations. Soon after releasing their second album Ludvig and Stetic worked with DJ Yaniv the owner of Cosmophilia and made a Pressure EP for his label in Germany. In June, their music video Hey Mr. Juice was produced by the Croatian music video awards winner Goran Kulenovic.
Working in the studio with Gus Till, who produced works of Jamiroquai and INXS, opened some new perspectives for their future sounds. Dogma 3000 got a couple of gigs in UK including their first appearance in the legendary London venue Brixton Academy. After playing gigs in Switzerland and Italy, Ludvig got his first solo gig in Tokyo and Stetic played a very rare DJ set on Koh Pan Gan in Thailand. By the end of August, they played at an Astralis party in Spain.
Due to their happy nature, successful parties and top quality music, Dogma 3000 reached a near celebrity status in Croatia, playing on all major events including performances with Tonka, Mark Spoon and Pascal Feos as well as giving interviews for national television and radio. Their track E1 was played by leading trance DJ's such as Mark Allen and Tsuyoshi Suzuki and they came out with their first Australian release.
After playing a couple of gigs in Taipei's famous clubs such as Edge and Fifth Element, Stetic and Ludvig returned to Zagreb. They joined their powers with Go Cut and became one of Croatia's leading party organizers. Their studio days in Taipei ended and they bought their own professional equipment forming a studio in Zagreb. In late May, they came out with their first music video Sundance, sponsored by Panasonic and Technics.
After signing a couple of their first tracks, their work took them to Taipei, Taiwan where they produced music in Blue Moon Production Studios. In December, Ludvig and Stetic released a first trance album in Chinese spoken area and they became the first Croatian artists to make a breakthrough to Far East market. This event marked a milestone for them, because they decided that it was electronic music that would be the focal point of their careers.
In February, Goran Stetic suggested to Damir Ludvig that they should join together their equipment and brain cells and produce music together. Very soon they produced a couple of tracks together as well as collaborating with famous Tokyo DJ Ree.K. Realizing that electronic music wasn't well promoted in their homeland of Croatia, they started writing articles and interviews for a magazine called Arkzin, promoting the music and getting contacts in the industry.
