Inspired from a highly diverse musical background as a classically trained saxophonist and percussionist, in addition to a well defined taste in music across the spectrum, Sol.ID was born. David Butler is placing his own unique brand of funk on the international Drum & Bass scene in his dj'ing and production.
Through contacts and collaborations with other international artists, including the freshly successful Autumn project with production partner Lost Prophet, Xchange (alongside Sao Paulo, Brazil's C.A.B.L.E.) & Rapture Plume (with Texas' badbwoy arQer), the support has multiplied along with the playing field. Prominent figures in the international Drum and Bass scene such as Grooverider, Fabio, Nookie, London Elektricity, Flight, Marky, Blu Mar Ten, Physics, TC1, Alley Cat, and Bungle among others are showing love for this fresh sound in the clubs, live on radio and in mixes.
Sol.ID is definitely staying busy in 2007, both in the studio with forthcoming remixes & collabs with Kubiks & Lomax, Amaning, Stunna, Zyon Base, Saburuko, Pentagon & Ethix, Hydro, and Cybass not to mention a healthy touring schedule in the near future...
