Biography of yellowB

I was raised in england, and came to glasgow in 2003 to study medicine. shortly after I scored my first gig @ the liquid lounge (still play there sometimes) and things have escalated from there.

I've played some relatively high-profile gigs in the past year or so (launch parties, key support slots for the likes of Rob Data and Break) and this coming year should bring bigger and better things. I spin regularly at several clubs across the city and stood behind the decks at most of the ones that matter to me.
More details coming soon for 06-07

I co-present a web radio show [ARMED RESPONSE] on subcity radio [time for 06-07 tbc] and contribute to the respected and high-quality INFINITE MASS on radio magnetic - use the banners at the bottom to navigate for more information.

Hopefully, I am reasonable, committed, down-to-earth and good to work with as a DJ. I don't see why some people get so up themselves about it, we are all here to have fun.

my outlook
have fun, get wasted, don't fuck anyone around, and try to do important stuff. sometimes I forget that I have to complete a degree which will have far-reaching implications for my life [i.e. becoming a doctor] and it slips.
I love dnb and hate it when people slag it off for no reason other than its negative aspects. especially when they listen to whiney indie. that's most people on myspace then. I think most hip-hop is silly, and it seems totally out of context when listened to by some of the people who listen to it. people will say the same about dnb, but I will put it to them that it has no boundaries, and none of the negative messages put across by some hip-hop.
the emo movement of late has me in stitches, all the tight jeans, studs and swept fringes. and makeup. on guys. for fuck's sake, sort yourselves out, all of you.

big shout to all my friends and fellow dnb heads: all the Pate's Cheltenham crew [I shall see you soon], all the Glasgow dnb heads, Edinburgh heads and everyone else doing it up here in Scotland, the rest of the UK and the rest of the planet.

no love to people who blather on about indie rock, italo disco or post rock all the time like it's the best thing in the world. and gabber should stay where it belongs [skinhead drug clubs in the Netherlands]

no love to pretentious, precious 'art' types [you know, the ones in silly 'vintage' clothes with uptight expressions and elaborate hair]. many of them get told nothing but how great they are, when they collect rainwater in bottles then sell it on eBay, or something like that. that sort of treatment will turn anyone into a complete wanker. don't hate on me because I don't respect what you do. I'm reasonable, and you are talking out your arse. plus I understand science which is actually real and important. being at the art school doesn't make you better than anyone else. the faculties of architecture, product design and graphic design are excluded from the above, because they are grounded in the real world and seem OK.
