Biography of Holger Flinsch
Holger Flinsch was born on the 10th of July, 1971 in a small village in Frankfurt. In his childhood his father taught him on the Klampfe, which he however only years later used. This group however never moved beyond the exercise cellar. Flinsch in mutual agreement left the volume, in order to experiment alone with music. Shortly thereafter the volume dissolved then finally. Flinsch began to produce with a ATARI, a Sampler and a keyboard a kind Ambient Folk, still very strongly influences of the English multi-instrument musician, Mike Olfield, had. With the new Midis and the invention of the sequencer, Flinsch had now 1000 hands and could make his music. Gradually however his own style emerged, which became ever electronic. Starting from the mid 90's, he experimented then with techno music. In Frankfurt was pulsating at that time with this new musical form and Flinsch was was thus at the right time because of the correct place. The TRACKs in this phase, he did not produce however only to his own joy, to a publication of these pieces thought Flinsch at that time yet. He then felt an obligation and began again from the front, but this time with the goal of publishing his music. In 1999, he came out then on the Isenburger label CHOKE. Flinsch's first track, the legendary Eruptive 02 homeland. A half year after it appeared, he had his first album July 10th. The critics were inspired and from his music for Choke, produced now, he was surrounding with other Frankfurt labels such as PHONO of ELEMENT, KONFEKT and POINT, on which Flinsch successfully published his second LP, Collapsing new People. Moving to the end of 2001, to his label BASALT and because of the increased inquiries, he now also plays live. Since that time in May 2002, Holger Flinsch in Berlin, moves to a live act in select clubs again. 2003, he surprised his fans with the third album Regayov on the Offenbacher label MIKROLUX. This minimalistic complete work from Downbeat, Ambient and Soundscapes was an important musical step for Flinsch. Since 2004, he publishes on the Internet labels such as THINNER and REALAUDIO, on that the fourth LP Organon appeared. 2005 began a co-operation with the Berlin label of ROTARY COCKTAIL. There Flinsch published in October. The studioalbum with the title Hidden. 2006 is a year of projects with other musicians, including the Flinsch 'n Nielson project with his old companion, Holger Star.
