Biography of Sascha B Wagner

Sascha, officially Sascha B. Wagner, was born in 1975 in a small boring town in Germany called Saarbrücken. There he developed his interest for music at the age of five when he began his studies in classical guitar and flute, later on also transverse flute and composing which he finished twelve years later. His passion for electronic music started in the late 80's listening to EBM and got intense a couple of years later with his friendship Roger 23 who found in Sascha the perfect victim for making him a junkie to electronic beats. Saturated of his hometown he moved in 1992 to Quito, Ecuador, experiencing there a whole different atmosphere. At the beginning he played with a big group presenting musicals like Cats and Jesus Christ Superstar in Ecuador's main cities which were released afterwards on CD. This didn't last for too long because after feeling a serious lack of a proper electronic music scene (parties and so on...) he started djing in 1994 making it fast as a resident into clubs like Apotheosis, Upadana and Mantra. Little later he replaced his group members with synths and a drummachine and decided to dedicate himself exclusively to electronic music and started to do live performances in 1996, mostly psytrance and chill-out at the beginning and later on tech-house, specially after meeting DJ Green from Chile. With him he organized many events, playing also live and releasing two compilations 'Jornada Somadélica I & II' & 'Dance TraXXX' on the local underground label 'Soma-Ind.'. After nine years of great psychedelic experiences it was time for Sascha to go back to Europe, moving in 2001 to Barcelona, Spain. He found again a new style producing progressive house, but after joining the Bastard Machines a few years later he started with his friend Mark-Philip making crazy beats mixing influences mainly from techno and electro, preforming live in Spain and Italy. In 2006 he joined his new partner in crime Ludovic Vendi and under the a.k.a. RoboTique they've released so far Reencuentro EP 12' under Dialect Recordings, which has been already played by artists like Matthew Johnson, DJ Maze and others.
