Biography of Pako and Frederik

Frederik (born as Frederik Borgesius on Sept-27-1973) released his first records under his own label Gyrate records in 1990. Pako (born as Sekander Raisani on Jan-27-1973) had an introduction to house music in 1992 which resulted in his first production in 1993.Pako & Frederik met in Arnhem, where they lived back then in 1992. In 1993 Pako & Frederik brought their two styles together which resulted in their first collaboration 'Vauvenages' (produced together with DJ Remy). From this moment on Pako and Frederik joined forces to produce numerous club-hits such as: 'The Magic Shop' and 'Seaside Atmosphere'.Since 1995 Pako & Frederik perform live, appearing at numerous clubs (like Amnesia, Ibiza and Bedrock, London) and internationally attended festivals like 'I Love Techno' (Belgium) and 'Dancevalley' (Holland). Frederik also plays as a DJ, once a month at the Fuse in Brussels, and all over Europe. In 1996 Pako & Frederik started their own independent label, Majestic Music. Tracks as: 'Western Approaches', 'Blue Steel' and 'Hidden Fields' made an immediate impact around the world. This world-wide recognition soon led to numerous requests for their remix work, with their remix credits appearing on Nervous NY, WGW Belgium, DMC UK, Bedrock UK, Statra NY, Acetate UK, Quad-Coded UK and more. Their tracks featured on compilations mixed by: Sasha & Digweed (Northern Exposure + Live in Sydney), Carl Cox (F.A.C.T.), Anthony Pappa (Renaissance), Jerry Bonham (Spundae) to name a few.Recently, John Digweed picked up two 12'es by Pako & Frederik for Bedrock, the first of which was released in November 2001: 'Friday'/ 'Arnhem'.Early 2002 there will be a release on Quad-Coded Records ('Beatus Possessor' with a remix by Hernan Cattaneo). Also keep an eye out for their next Bedrock twelve: 'Purple Zone'.Pako & Frederik are now working on an album of their own music, including co-operations with various other producers, like Jerry Bonham, Remy, Revolt and Roland Klinkenberg.Furthermore they are busy compiling tracks for a mixed CD.Pako & Frederik have signed Robin Fitter and Jeroen Wunderlich - known as Fitalic - to Majestic Music. Robin and Jeroen have released records on Rezzonant and CMYK already, and will release 'Flasback' and 'Synchronic' on Bedrock in the near future.
