Biography of Darioef
Darío Fernández, aka darioef, was born in Buenos Aires in 1983. As a child, he fell in love with music through listening to his father's extensive record collection. His tastes were greatly influenced by the sound of 'The Beatles' for a number of years, but Dario wasn't aware of electronic music until 1999, when his friend introduced him to Oakenfold and trance cds. He fell in love with this kind of melodic electronic music and began to formulate his own tastes within this genre, during which stumbling upon the talents of Hernan Cattaneo, who was playing in Pacha Buenos Aires every weekend.
Months later, Dario learned to dj on his own using only a PC with a Denon emulator, and a few days later, bought his first mixer. Meanwhile, he become more interested in how the kind of tracks that were having such an impact on him were being produced, and as a natural progression began to play with some music creation software.
In 2003, he made his first production, called 'Alpha' and put it on a p2p software program to publicise his efforts. Next, Dario made 'Beta', the track which gained him substantial recognition as a producer. By 2004, he had continued making tracks, with 'New life' and 'Conservation' being supported by Hernan Cattaneo at gigs and on his radio show in Argentina. Dario's hard work was beginning to reap dividends. In September 2004, signed the tracks 'Beta' and 'New life' to EDM Digital as an independent artist. Both tracks were well received, featuring in the Top Ten Download Chart for several weeks. Some months later, Proton Radio invited him to play on their most popular show called 'Featured Artist' and also on 'Particles' (hosted by Jay Epoch).
Labels, djs & producers started to interest in his productions and began to chart his stuff. Now, his tracks are supported by djs & producers like: V-Sag, Damian DP, DJ Tarkan, Hernan Cattaneo, Elusive, Chris Sterio, Shiloh, Clubbervision, Darren Rhys, Michael Lanning, and more.
His productions are based on the melodic progressive house style, yet often feature breakbeat, with guitars, piano and various other instruments, with the emphasis being on a lot of emotional content.
Here, in 2005, there are two releases from Darioef on the highly respected 'Sentient Audio Collective' label. The tracks, entitled 'Near U' and 'Conservation ' are available with remixes. And there's a lot of signed stuff waiting to be released.
