Biography of PsychoFreud
PsychoFreud aka Anders Eriksen is a 29 year old producer and DJ situated in Oslo, Noway. Focusing on ragga drumandbass / jungle, reggae and hiphop, he usually blends a reggae flavour into every sound he touches. His drumandbass usually has reggae vocals both known or unknown vocalists, with a production setting a standard rarely heard elsewhere.
His crew, Vikings Champion Sound, consists of a group of very talented DJ's and producers, aiming to entertain musiclovers in any country. Current members besides PsychoFreud are the beats wizard Sunjammer, turntablist master DJ Benny ILL, and the 'ironman' on the decks, DJ Subway - all from Norway. Vikings Champion Sound usually plays any breakbeat based sound, but also holds pure reggae and dancehall sets, as well as hiphop.
As a DJ, PsychoFreud usually plays a ragga based drumandbass set, not leaving out ruff jungle dancefloor fillers in any way. Dubplates and Specials will be played every time, from the likes of Bounty Killer, Johnny Osbourne, Terry Ganzie, John Holt, or Burro Banton - to mention some.
PsychoFreud has performed several times in the UK (Hardcore Corssbreed), New York City (Konkrete Jungle, Camouflage), France, Bulgaria (club Black Box), Germany (Straffbass, Chemnitz), Belgium, and in Norway.
He is currently signed to Knowledge & Wisdom / Souljah records with first release out being cat. number SR014 with the tracks 'Selassie I' and 'Originality'. PsychoFreud also runs the ragga drumandbass record label Bass Rejects. Upcoming releases are REJECT02 - Cooh 'Ganja Lighta', and REJECT03 - Jacky Murda 'Murderer' / 'Murderer (PsychoFreud Remix)'. REJECT01 came out summer 2006 with the track 'Murda Dem'.
