Biography of Foton
Foton is one of the hardest working men in show business. While many make that claim, few have proven it as he has. In a career spanning nearly 20 years, he has been at the forefront of the Detroit techno scene, being the exclusive sound engineer for Richie Hawtin (Plastikman, Plus 8, M_nus, etc), John Aquaviva, Aux 88, and many others. While being the premier sound engineer of Detroit's techno scene, Foton was keeping up his DJ chops in the clubs all over the Metro area. His skills as an accomplished keyboard player gave him the musical background to perform exquisite melodic blends of dance music for throngs of people on dancefloors for years. The dual careers as sound engineer and DJ have paid off when it comes to hearing Foton work a room. His sets build naturally, and the crowd willingly lets him direct them through hours of dance floor loving tracks. Technician, performer, entertainer, artist: these terms not only fit, they are exemplified by Foton.
