The man behind the scenes of Primal Confusion Records was born in Dinslaken/Germany in the year 1981. Actually he is living in Duisburg, very close to Düsseldorf. Inspired and fascinated by a TV documentation about Sven Väth in 1996, which gave him access to a completely new dimension of sound, Chris Binder started to listen to Electronic Music. Two years later he bought his first own DJ-equipment and began to spin records. In the meantime he has already been booked all around the globe (e.g. Japan, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Denmark...). He shows his talent to create ass-shaking stuff for the floors out there. His DJ-sets are an energetic journey into the world of tribal, funky, minimal, deep, hardgroovy Techno & Techhouse. He belongs to the new generation of producers coming out of Germany who have taken the Techno world by storm. Currently Chris Binder (as one of the very few pure techno artists) has ranked Top 30 in the highly-reputed Raveline Voting Poll 2005, Section: 'Newcomer Worldwide 2005', which was won by Trentemöller. You find his releases on such well known labels like Rotation Records, Cluster, Holzplatten, Hedonic, Giant & Dwarf... to name just a few of them and for sure on his own imprint Primal Confusion, which he leads from until now together with his friends from Drumcomplex. Beside this he did also some remixes for Robert Natus, Andre Walter, DJ Murphy & Christian Fischer. His records take place in the charts and playlists of well-known DJs like Umek, Valentino Kanzyani, Ken Ishi, Lucca, DJ Murphy, Dave Angel, Chris Liberator, Eric Sneo, DJ Preach and many more... Since March 2006 he is hosting his own show on „Cybrix Radio“ every two weeks on wednesday evening, presenting own sets + guests like Danilo Vigorito, Kevin Saunderson, Miss Yetti, Markantonio or Tom Hades to mention just a few.

Biography of Drumcomplex
Daniel and Arnd Reichow acted at the end of the 80`s musically in the Rock and Heavy – area. Due to the first Techno movement occurring at the beginning of the 90`s they drew their attention to the electronical sector. Daniel didn`t hesitate for long. By acquiring the first synthies he was offered the possibilities in transposing his own musical ideas. At first his preference were melodical sounds. When the time passed his tendency developed more and more to experimental, drifting and technoid shapes. Very early he performed his tracks live on different events and thus gained enough resonance for his further creative urge. Daniel finished his studies after all in August 2003 as an audio engineer.
Arnd parallely tried in his parents`s cellar with the first vinyls at however primitive record players to achieve the fine art of mixing. Even after only one year the moment arrived and the first demo-tape, handed in in the club Far Out in Emmerich, was approved. From this date on he played as a DJ every Saturday evening. After shut-down of this location he orientated himself at the scene in the Ruhr-district. Several gigs in renowned clubs followed.
A long period of time Daniel and Arnd built on different tracks; but not until the middle of 2001 they achieved their first success in this scene. Toneman Records was inspired by four tracks and released in November 2001 under the name “Drumcomplex” the “Pushing Conform EP”. Some time later on definition records followed a various artist-record “Solid Players” with the track “Tribal Morning” under Moaner. From this time on Deja-Vu Records in the Switzerland signed 8 tracks. Unfortunately there was no publication because the label called off his work.
Now they have high profile releases on labels like rotation, cluster, highland beats, abyss and so on.
They're hosting their own label called primal confusion together with chris binder.
