Biography of Christian Kleine
Christian Kleine is one half of electronica supergroup Herrmann and Kleine. In this project, Christian and Thaddi have experimented with the lighter, more upbeat side of the electronic music scene.
However in Christian's solo work, fast beatbox beats and awe inducing sparkly melodies are replaced in favour of a more downbeat, subtle approach.
We have already been treated to two excellent albums, 'Beyond Repair' on the ever-reliable City Centre Offices, and 'Valis' on cult indietronica label Morr Music. Both were packed with lovingly and carefully crafted tracks, fuleing thoughts of good times, reflecting on the more meaningful moments within us and pushing the depth of the often shallow electronic sound. More recently, Christian has released the 'Firn' ep, also through City Centre Offices, with these four tracks he has taken his sound to another place again, experimenting with a more upbeat pace and even branching into a house framework, while still retaining the gorgeous subtleties we have come to know and to love.
There is not really much more to about Christian, he is a firm favourite here and we cannot tell you enough how much his music means to us. We hope you will all feel the same way. Spread the love.
Christian was also responsible for the guitars on one of the most indescribably special albums to come out of Berlin - Arovane's Tides, the first LP release on Shlom and Thaddi's City Centre Offices label, an untouchable album that holds some of my most treasured memories of friends and beautiful music.

Comment: Although 40 mins this does seem a bit short, other than that it's a real nice set to listen to..
