Biography of Mazen
There is no genre or particular style of music that is totally banned from Mazen's collection. While perfecting his skills as a DJ he's learnt that quality is the deciding factor and bringing in the unexpected elements can create a truly unique sound.
It's this kind of eclectic attitude (and of course raw talent) that has got Mazen to where he is today - one of Bahrain's up and coming DJs with both a local and international following. His style of music is a diverse mix of underground house, techno and disco, and if you like to kick back you won't be disappointed by his sophisticated brand of downtempo.
Mazen's musical journey started back in the 70's disco era. It was while listening to disco, funk and soul that his all consuming passion was ignited and he discovered James Brown, Barry White, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Grace Jones and Aretha Franklin, geniuses that remain his icons to this day.
With the introduction of Electro in the 80's he found himself on a different vibe. Entranced by groups like Kraftwerk and the Yazz. He began to expand his musical horizons. But it was in the 90's that his real trip began.
Based in the USA (Florida to be precise) he had the privilege of being friends with an elite underground party DJ set and he was able to listen, watch and learn from the masters such as Cajmere (Green Velvet), Derrick Carter, Derrick May, DJ Sneak, Mark Farina, DJ Heather, DJ Garth, DJ Chang, DJ Jask and DJ Three.
In the spring of '99 DJ Mazen became a 'name' when he organized his first major after hour's party in South Beach Miami. It was here that the boundaries of house music were exploded by the magic of DJs Sneak and Gene Farris.
Returning to Bahrain in 2000 (with a whole lot of experience and even more enthusiasm) Mazen realized the need for a serious underground movement that could keep the party people happy without infringing on the rigid restrictions imposed by the local clubs. (Ask any of the island's clubbers and you'll get a gleeful response that the scene has never been quite the same.)
Aside from keeping the locals firmly on the dance floors, Mazen has shared his skills with audiences further abroad. In August 2002 he had his first gig at Europe's largest music conference and festival, the Popkomm in Cologne, Germany. Not surprisingly he gave them what they needed and was immediately asked back to perform another gig in November 2002 and August 2003/ May 2004. In April of 2004 Mazen was booked in Russia for a 10-day tour to perform in cities like, Moscow, St Petersburg and Izhevsk. In November 2004 Mazen set his gear to tour France; he performed a few gigs in the capital of France, Paris, and followed by a few other gigs in the South of France, Toulouse.
It's not just the highest international standards and superb taste and flair that Mazen brings to a room that makes him an excellent choice for any dance floor, it's once again the simple fact that there are no limits as to what he will do to create the greater musical experience.

Biography of Salah
An experience of any of Salah’s magical sets is one that remains with your soul for days, weeks and months. It’s from within his soul that this talented and well exposed DJ reaches out, with a style of music that spans minimal-deep-house-groovy- techno-electro – a truly diverse style that never fails to infect you with a dirty groove.
Born and raised in Bahrain, Salah’s ability to get a serious party going puts him up with the very best in the business. These are the skills that he developed from a very young age, spinning at small venue gigs and gradually building a repertoire that crosses continents. Close to home, he was a part of an exciting line-up including Peace Division and Lexicon Avenue at a Shindig party in Dubai. His most recent adventures took him to Amsterdam, where he featured at TWSTD and played a live set on Radio Activity’s (www.radio-activity.nl) Danzolectro segment. Salah has featured in several events in the Netherlands, including the Queen’s Day Playground parties (2004 + 2005) and Club More in Amsterdam, in addition to Member’s Only in Utrecht in 2004.
Currently, in the local Bahrain scene, Salah can be found teaming up with international DJs at offbeat garden or warehouse events (SUMO Nights). He has also been getting involved with live experimental sets with Fawaz, called tab.lab, and is a regular at Bahrain’s underground location, Likwid.
Salah really does stand out as a serious performer, and can get a room full of people going for hours. Just be warned though: once you’ve heard one of his sets, you’ll definitely want to come back for more.

Biography of Richard Parker
Richard was born on October 7, 1973. For more than 15 years he has been seriously involved with music, when he started working as a promoter/DJ at an early age, organizing underground Hip-Hop and Hip-House parties in Utrecht, Netherlands. While experiencing the sounds of acid-house (1992), he found himself getting absorbed with the depth and soul of house music.
In 1994, he moved to Amsterdam because he felt the need to further explore his possibilities as a DJ. Richard got a job in a record store and worked as an import manager for several years, but it wasn’t until the beginning of 1997, when Dimitri approached him to spin at the Roxy for their famous 'HiTech-Soulmovement' nights. The Roxy management was so impressed by Richard’s musical performance, that they asked him to host his own monthly Saturday Night (Real Audio), which really helped put him on the map of the Dutch scene.
Richard has been working with other DJs and artists, like John Consemulder (Soma) & Helger (Mid-Nite Sessions). This talented DJ not only plays, but also produces and imports music. He established a collective of DJs, Artists & New Talent called PLAYGROUND at the 020 in Amsterdam. In 2003, they kicked it off strong, and it has only continued to grow and succeed since then. Now going even further with his residency in Amsterdams top club 'Club 11' .
