Houle started making music around 1985 with the help of Casio keyboards and a Commodore 64 home computer. Now living blocks away from M-nus HQ in Windsor's historic Walkerville Distillery District, minutes from Detroit, Techno is not his chosen lifestyle or or even on the radar at times. His appreciation for Minimal Techno comes more from his love for analog synth sounds. 'Moogs sends shivers up my back,' Houle quickly shoots off. He also admits that the general soundtrack to the video games [computer and arcade] and television of the 1980s also subconsciously impacted his style. Mark Houle and Troy Pierce, who were introduced to one another by Magda, are the incredible Run Stop Restore.
