Biography of Jordan X

From the country that has spanned some of the modern dance scene's biggest stars, such as David Holmes, Fergie, Agnelli & Nelson and Phil Kieran, it's no great shock that the newest prodigy is making such a noticeable impact. Holding what is looking like one of the busiest diaries in Northern Ireland for the next year, Jordan has rocked clubs around the UK, now under the management of Fergie's EXCENTRIC agency.

With 2006 being his most successful year yet, the boy dubbed by festival giant, Planet Love as 'Northern Ireland's answer to Eddie Halliwell' played headline gigs and guest slots at Ireland's hottest nightspots, such as The Coach superclub, Revolution @ Clubland, The Nerve Centre, as well as english club brand, Ikon, in Newcastle, Coventry, Elements in Bournemouth, gigging in London at The Factory, and SeOne....and almost forgetting to mention playing packed concert events at the Kings Hall in Belfast to 8,000 of the country's most up-for-it, sharing the bill with Marco V, Lisa Lashes, Scot Project, Sander Van Doorn, Mauro Picotto and hardstyle guru, Luna.

Holding a monthly residency at the 1000-capacity 'LOST' in Belfast, has allowed Jordan to expand his passionate local fanbase, sharing deck duties with some of the worlds top hard dance and trance talent, whilst showcasing his tough, involved, energetic and often unpredictable, tech-influenced style.

Despite such active club gigs, Jordan also performed two sets at the famed Planet Love 2006 festival on the 9th of September, one being a peak time set from the main stage, to 10,000, whilst going out to potential millions, live on the UK's National Radio One, alongside a broadcast lineup which consisted of Judge Jules, Mauro Picotto, Christopher Lawrence, Paul van Dyk and Fergie. At only 16, Jordan was the the youngest DJ to ever perform live set on the station, a record which he had previously accomplised via Riley and Durrant's 'NuBreed' Show on Galaxy FM, on which he performed a half-hour live studio mix as well as an interview.

On the media front, the rise in popularity has been duly noted- with heavy coverage in the likes of I-DJ Mag as 'One to Watch' a documentary based on Jordan aired on BBC's 'Inside Out' series, and alongside Fergie on BBC Talent's 'Super DJ's' show. The internet has been instrumental to Jordan's successes, with sites such as YouTube and Myspace containing popular videos of Jordan in club action, and websites such as the UK's largest independent clubbing guide 'HarderFaster' putting out interviews.

Jordan is constantly in the studio, lacing ideas for solo tracks, alongside a certain UK Top 10 Producer, which have recieved support through the summer on Radio One's 'Furious Fifteen,' as well as being quoted by Mixmag Editor, Gavin Herlihy as
'...an exciting debut from one of house music's hottest and youngest new talents. It smashed the Mixmag office when we tested it and is a surefire electro house club killer to finish off the summer in style.'

This year's diary continues to fill, with headline gigs at the likes of 'ZU' in Derry, 'Tempo' in Ballycastle and Traks in Portrush confirmed for the early part of the year, as well as gigs at 'Hard House Academy Ireland' and The Coach in Banbridge, and of course, LOST. Jordan will also be doing more English dates than before as part of the Excentric roster, and with gigs in clubbing mecca Ibiza planned for July- it's looking somewhat crazy...or some would say...
