Biography of Scratch_Eddie
Scratch_Eddie is more than just a DJ, he weaves noises together to create a stream of sound that is more than the sum of it's parts. A musician based in Sheffield, UK, Scratch_Eddie utilises turntables, scratching, FX manipulation, a Laptop, 'real' instruments and live sampling to create performances that stand out from those of the plethora of unambitious organic jukeboxes that pose as DJs in our clubs. He is not tied to any particular genre, prefering to explore the various positive aspects of many different kinds of sounds. However, he is particularly partial to Dubstep/Grime, Microhouse/Minimal Techno, Rave/Jungle/Drum and Bass, and Gabba Jungle!
Scratch_Eddie also works closely with fellow noisemonger The Pimpin' Shrimpernel, and together they have performed some of the most forward thinking multigenre, multi-laptop&turntable sets on the scene today.
