Biography of Adrian Sanchez
Since he was a baby, he has been mad about music, what he inherited from his family. At the age of ten years old, for two years, he had the pleasure of studying music and learning to play the piano, together with his mother. He began listening to groups like Technotronic o Kraftwek and one single day, without a clue, he understood that all of them were joined by something: the beats and the techno sounds, which was sounding strongly those years.
However, he will have to wait until 1994 to discover the world of mixing, and it happened when a double 12 ' of Monsieur Garnier fell into his hands. It made such an impression on him, that he found another world into the musical expectation. A couple of years later, he began to reside in the missing Calipso, from Aguilar de Campoó.
Also, it would be necessary to emphasize other residences he has done in clubs as Subterfugio (Valladolid), where he was sharing residence with the international Kazu Kimura, and in other points of the province of Palencia: clubs like Kaledonia, Ave Turuta and Lejendario TJ. These clubs were changing the style of their music, and it had influence on the progression of Adrian as a dj. This progression happened from the deep and the tech house to the techno, minimal or electro of now days. He has also done some relaxing and personal meetings of downtempo and lounge at the Chili Terrace.
In his early years of musical experience, he prefered the purest techno style, especially the one that came from Detroit. He has put on sets in provinces as Palencia, Valladolid, Burgos, Avila or Cantabria, walking suitcases for the I Music Festival of Palencia, Mericasim's Festival in Avila, Las Vegas Club in Burgos, Dipo's Club, El Local of Palencia, Pepe's Club, Gente Corriente, Morgana, Suite Club, Summun in Valladolid, Titanic in Santander, etc.
Moreover, he makes sessions with the versatile Elektrolover under the nick Antistatik dj's. In these sessions he gives free rein to his creativity and you can find sounds of styles like the punk, rock, electro-house or minimal.
Now, his obsession for the music is focus on the production, what he is doing since 2004. In this way, he is paying attention to different projects, and the more outstanding ones are a live under the pseudonym of Dominant, and his firsts productions for Elecktrocuts records.
