MPIII.com features downloads of live sets and mix sets posted by our members. These live sets and mix sets are posted in appreciation for the artists that created them. You will find biographies, images and links for all the artists featured on the site. This helps in promoting the people that create the music which we love. Biography of Absolud
DJ Absolud (Lud Verhoog) was born and raised just outside Amsterdam. Since he was young music dictated his life. In '89, at just 14 years of age, he started DJ-ing and organising high school parties, spinning all kinds of music. In '92 he found his new love in the house music. He knew that this was the music that he had been searching for and developed his DJ style from deep to funky house music in the Amsterdam scene where he became known for his pure and always groovin' sets.
Around the same time he and his brother started a company that also created the visual aspects at parties around the city (Wasteland, Club Wearhouse, Dancevalley, and many others). In '95 the company expanded, and with two friends they created an organization called Lumafex. Lumafex organised many funky underground parties at 'various' locations throughout the Netherlands. Always good music, vibes and people- guaranteed.
In 2003 Lud was travelling the globe, spinning at several locations in Europe and Asia, one of which set him down on Koh Tao, Thailand where he became a resident at Drybar. In 2005 he and the owners then set out to create a new concept which in turn became the Pure Lounge, a seductively furnished beachclub where he organizes the parties and is also resident DJ. Currently Lud is working on a cd and busy planning the 'Pure 4 Sure tour' to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore, spinning and bringing a blend of European DJ's to Asia.
