Thumpmatic got into the dance music scene in early 1999 when being a transient raver was a state of mind. It wasn't long after that he started messing around with various friends' decks and decided this is where he should channel most of his energy. Shortly thereafter he started playing out hard and disco house on local New Hampshire college radio, at his residency in Haverhill MA, and in small venues as far as PA in 2000.
After re-evaluating certain things in life, he took a break from the party scene and starting focusing more on music, and honing his mixing skills. After a long hiatus from 2001 to 2003, he started promoting himself in force, setting up his own weekly and crew. This time around his passion was mainly pushed by the beats of uplifting drum&bass. Within six months of when he started back in the circuit, he was able to play in every state of New England except for Vermont.
Now being recognized for his selection of Funky and Soulful tracks, he's been able to play at places where drum&bass was frowned upon. He's been able to turn quite a few electronic music haters into junglists. Thumpmatic has taken his near seamless mixing, cuts, and scratches to the masses in New England from memorable events at large venues like New Years Rezolution 2 @ The infamous former Asylum Nightclub ran by True Crew in Springfield, MA, which brought together again the legendary Sugar Hill Gang for a night to the former Celsius Afterhours at Electra Nightclub in W. Lebanon, NH with Eastcoast NRG.
In 2004, he was able to pick up his second residency along with Joshua Smeed at the former Brass Monkey complex ran by Tommie Gunn of Netwerk One in Manchester, NH. It's common and often expected to hear coming out of a dope Thumpmatic set some hiphop/drum&bass remixes, Hard and funky sounds diced up with alot of soul and his signature cuts and scratches. This kind of sound he brings you definitely brings out his Motown heritage in drum&bass style. As a musical enthusiast of all kinds, it's not too uncommon to hear different styles of house or hip-hop instrumentals streaming out of his mixer. Now with almost 6 years of experience under his belt as a club dj, a handful of original unreleased tracks, and over 2,000 demo CDs out in circulation, he's making himself more available now in the North Carolina circuit to re-enforce the fact his selection of dnb is YOUR selection of dnb too!!
