Biography of Frank McGahon
I’ve been dj-ing for almost 20 years now, starting back when I was at college doing occasional clubs and parties in Dublin. After graduation I lived in London for a couple of years and dj-ed for a bit at the Electric Ballroom in Camden on Saturday nights. I returned to Dublin in 1991 and over the next few years dj-ed at various clubs including Sides, The Temple of Sound, The Kitchen, The Pod and The Chocolate Bar and also on Power FM. More recently I dj-ed for a while at Domingo in the Spirit Store in Dundalk. Dj-ing has always been more of a hobby for me, never a career. My J.O.B. running an architectural practice pays for my vinyl addiction (and my home dj-booth!). The musical genres I’m mainly into are Broken/Nu-Jazz, House, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Rare Groove, Disco, Brazilian, Latin, Afro-beat, Old School Hip-Hop.
