Biography of Lars Klein

Lars Klein, born in Dortmund (Germany), got the first contact with electronic music by listening to productions by Jean Michel Jarre.

In the middle of the 80'ies he got in touch with some Chicago House Tracks. Labels like 'DJ International' and 'Trax' published that electronic, pumping sound without any vocal elements. With one Tuntable and a tape deck Lars made the first mix tapes and forced his friends to listen to them. At the beginning of the 90'ies he got his first DJ bookings and it came clear, that he was captured inside that music.

1994 he bought his first studio equipment and the first experiences and productions were started. 1995 he took part of a DJ-Tour through Lithuania and Bookings all over Germany were fixed.

In 1999 Lars started to work in a record store in Dortmund. A few month before he already got in contact with the current A & R of Fine-Audio and Compressed Recordings. So it came that the first production was released on Compressed Records in september 1999. Further Releases followed on Fine Audio, Compressed, GAMB, Bliss and Touch Tone.

Comment: This one starts of with a high BPM and stays there during the rest of the set.
After getting things going the first 20 minutes with well chosen up tempo tracks, the set moves on to a flatter, more "to the point" scenario, but still with interesting baselines and some nice classic hits :)
The last 20 minutes aren't really interesting anymore, the mixes become monotone and so do the tracks.
It is however a very good set and if you're in a party mood, this one is for you.
