Biography of Iva
This Split based young lady, currently studying at the UMAS (The academy of fine arts in Split) took up djing three years ago, under the immense influence of pioneers of early electro music like: Kraftwerk, Aux88, Drexciya; to mention but a few. The beginnings of her dj career can be connected with the renowned nightclub 'Irma' in Split, where she started holding her first residency, spinning all genres of electronic music. After some time she decided to trace down the roots of electronic music, and chose electro and techno as her primary preoccupation. While spinning on a regular basis she hooked up with a group of video artists, together they formed the 'Herbarij crew'- which can bee seen as a platform for development of audio-visual communication and art.
The crew became an integral part of the Croatian electronic music scene. Soon they start running events in a nightclub -'Kocka'- in Split. After some time Iva took up spinning all around Croatia, using her undisputable good looks and amazing mixing skills as a weapon of mass charming. This is how she met members of the best Croatian based electro crew- 'CRObot' , soon becoming a member of the crew. Alongside playing music Iva is also working as a graphic designer. She and her longtime companion formed a design team - 'Create 88'.
