Racket Knight is a project born in 1997 exclusive for label Spectra Rec. label (label of international DJ Cirillo).
With this project we will propose , in Italy and the rest of Europe , a 'new' form of techno . The minds are 3, DJ Lukas, Walter Albini aka Derek and Massimo Cominotto (DJ e Producer of Milan - Italy). Racket Knight has produced two EP : one named „In The Wood “ and the other „EP 2“ (this one released at the end of 1998) included 2 remix; one Gaetek remix and one D-EX remix.

Massimo Cominotto has always represented for me the Italian vanguard as regards musical proposal, kilometers and kilometers of road for its dj set, in order to listen to discs that in some cases have anticipated by far the advent of kinds then become to you cool in our panorama, here its vision odierna of the world of the dance….
And: Hello Massimo, Can you describe to us your start into the artistic and when you have understood that music would have become your main occupation?
MC: In '79 listening to the cassettes of my sister. They were of the “Bay of the angels” the beautifulst discotheque of the coast and, perhaps of Europe. Never more I have not listened to beautiful music therefore. Some year after I have begun in one small from Milan local radio and from them to the club the step and' short state.
And: How many records has made up your collection, and which the kinds that determine it?
MC: Beyond 30.000 from jazz to soul a much music electronic and a sea of disco.
And: After the optimal period that has gone from 1994 to 1996 in which you played electronics from sophisticated club much and innovative one, many premises and Dj has had a decline to say little drastic, I have some listens to some that they have changed to you completely broken off, arriving in some cases, and I take Noferini for example to you, to play house also of dubbia quality.
If you asked you to attribute of the colpe, on who you would aim the finger?
MC: The problem is that the personal tastes of a affinano artist, change. After to have imported the techno minibadly and to have played it in a club as the “City Area” for 4 years has felt the duty to mature to push itself still beyond, Unfortunately paying also of the high excesses much. Today people have lost the respect for music and also the dimension of the figure of the dj that substantially it remains a mettidischi. And' vergognoso when I feel cachet of beyond 10.000, 00 euro for a tizio that it is limited to put music made from others.
And: I have listened to you to New Year's Day to the AlterEgo club, and have noticed that also yours sound it has varied, me seems that it very heads to make to dance people with a minimum of spensieratezza in more, omitting the sounds sometimes experiences them to favor even than one case electro. How you would define your sound now, and which are of usual the criteria that of it determine the choices during your performances?
MC: If you think what trades them my sound dimmi then plays the others dj. Task of to have been between first playing electroclash or proposing sounds completely alternated to you regarding the globality of the offer. It must say that in order to make this trade is necessary also a sure external support (you see over) must find just crossover between alternative and the sense of the truth. To be to the vanguard does not mean sure to execute a set of 2 hours with of absurd music. This is much easy one, to the capacity also of the pigs.
And: How you see the Italian panorama in this moment? You notice an increase of interest from part of the public one towards the alternative phenomenon dance?
MC: Some interest to the alternative panorama does not exist from part of the public (at least numerically important). Rispecchia the fact that some they from dance with dj poor musically but strongly mediatico impact knows is full.
And: In this period is strongest the proposal of compilation celebrative of the electro or of the Italian disc, the same Alexander Robotnick or also the Kraftwerk has known to recover in game with extreme facility being proposed valid jobs to my warning much, creeds that this has had to innovation lack or to the fact that these artists, and all music of ventennio' 70/' 80 has still much to say?
MC: Music dance is ended with the discomusic in first years' 80. Today nobody is more able than to compose or to play one instrument. The computer has only put dogs and pigs in the conditions for playing with the enormous artistic inheritance that the true musicians have left us. We are not that dwaries on the shoulders of giants…
And: Which are the new producers from which, according to you, us it must be waited for very?
MC: Producers? I speak about true musicians. I in techno or house or the electronics today of it knows very little and you?
And: Thanks to the strong had technological evolution during the last few years we are succeeds in to you to assist to true and own electronic concerts that have allowed also one maturation of the figure of the true and own Dj in star. Which' is your relationship with the technology? We will never see to you to try in live set to you?
MC: We specify the dj is not rock star of tantomeno a musician (until contrary test) if then for its fortune finds one platea of good several idiots who boast for 4 sounds and ferragliate for he. Not, I have a good relationship with the technology. Internet as an example has destroyed the record market and it wants therefore to produce music to it. It has completely burnt the market that thanks to the idiots make it to before become old still to exit. Understood to feel speeches to me type “. .l' the month slid in a its set has played Sven…” but vaffanculo! , we try to give to music its just weight. A good disc good because is made on purpose not, because it is new and stolen from Internet.
And: Dj, journalist and record producer, which are the aspect of your job to which you feel more legacy and to which it gratifies you mainly?
MC: Lately nobody of the three.
And: Where we see you play this summer?
MC: Cocorico, Alter ego, Divine (Ibiza), Privilege (Ibiza), Pacha (palm).
And: Plans in future?
MC: A film with Tarantino, this time is I it main interpreter and with the sword I make justice in this lousy world.
