Biography of Audion
Amidst the maelstrom of aliases adopted by Detroit’s prodigious and prolific Matthew Dear, Audion is undoubtedly the grittiest; the singles 'Kisses' and 'The Pong' earned immense praise for their serrated approach to heavy 4/4 techno in 2004, bringing untamed synths and raucous beats into a devastating mélange. Providing some of Spectral’s hardest, dirtiest songs, the Suckfish LP is unleashed in fall 2005.
Alternately demonic and playful, the Audion sound rides a wave of raw sexual energy; the sense of tension and release, of lust and doom, and of sheer energy create a powerhouse of universal psychological and visceral elements. One gets the disconcerting sense of a conversation with a rambling, incoherent psychopath who could lash out at any moment. The threat is the intrigue.

Comment: Great tech-house and minimal techno in this one from Audion a.k.a Matthew Dear. Yes unfortunately it is short but what you get is real good. A bit of a teaser really because Audion can really get a floor moving and this bit gives you just a taste of that.

Comment: greta stuff from Matthew Dear as always. Deep, dark raw minimal techno with some pounding 4/4 kicks. Really a shame that this mix is so short. Just getting into it when it ended. We need more links to his mixes please!

Comment: This is an excellent set taking you on a quick tour through Audion's material. It would have been 10/10 if it had been longer! This is quality Techno with rolling bass and lots of sounds to keep your mind rolling as well.
