Biography of Brian Seed
DJ Brian (aka Brian Golub- Label Manager/A&R/ Artist) has built an international following spinning hard trance, tribal breaks, and progressive techno. In 2002 Brian formed Ritual Sounds with business partner Richard Butler. As a DJ, Brian has been a DJ with Los Angeles' Moontribe collective since 1995, and has toured extensively both on his own and with the tribe. He has released three ''Hardesertrance'' mix CD's and ''Psychotrance 200'' on Moonshine Music, and other compilations for Ball of Waxx, Fragrant, and Phatt Phunk. His talent for creating and producing music has taken him well beyond the dancefloor. Numerous influences from ambient to jazz can be heard in his various music projects and he has an ear for what moves people.
As Seed, Brian has released 12''s and remixes on Fade, Virgin, System, Moonshine, and the first release for Ritual Sounds, ''Blue Vibrations''. He's remixed artists like Perry Farrell, No Doubt, ABA Structure, Fisher Project, Ambr.sea, Woven, Undo, and many others. Brian produces music with long time collaborator John Kelley as Phonetik, and they have released 2 sample CDs with M-Audio (Pro Sessions 18 & 19), as well on countless productions with Ball of Waxx Music (www.ballofwaxx.com). You can expect more releases on Ritual Sounds from Brian in the future, as well as releases with Phonetik, Ball of Waxx, Fade, and others.
