Biography of DJ Matthew Dunn
Matthew Dunn truly embodies what it means to experience audible emotion. This young Trance DJ/Producer based out of Houston, TX USA is one of the genre's true treasures.
Matthew has a musical background that has been cultivated since childhood. A classically trained cellist and string bass player since age 9, Dunn takes the skills which were taught to him by some of the finest teachers in the entire southern US and now utilizes them when crafting his sets or his production work.
With only 2 months time behind the decks, Matthew secured his first residency after his jaw dropping debut at the New Years Eve 2001 show hosted by Club Space in Houston, Texas.
Since then the young DJ has begun touring Texas, the US, and other parts of the globe. In Late 2002 he was asked to play his first show hosted by SDC ( Scooby Doo Crew) , a production crew synonymous with bringing quality international talent as well as supporting locals who are considered the best in their field. Matthew has since worked with SDC on several other events including his first CD release party.
Staying active within the DJ culture on the local level, Matthew has teamed up with the Houston expansion of the world famous SPUNDAE/Godskitchen event team helping the local scene push foreward anyway he can. Matthew has played with such electronic dance music legends as D:Fuse, Oakenfold, Tiesto, and Paul Van Dyk and continues to push foreward his passion for music hoping that it will bring as much to the people around the world as it does to him.
