Biography of Moogz

I'm moogz (Matt) an established London underground live/DJ, I perform weekly at squat/warehouse parties and out in the beautiful countryside at our big free parties.

I've also played all over west & eastern Europe at our huge teknival techno festivals, and was the final act at the FrenchTek festival this year.

I've been excited about visiting New York for a while, since becoming hooked on NY electro after finding a random white label (RAM003) discarded on the street which became one of my favourite tunes.

I'm looking to play as many gigs as possible in the week that I shall be visiting - I play a massive range of music, as all of my music is found digging through charity shops and bargain crates - I don't pay more than $2 USD a record, but I have a lot of classics and otherwise unheard of techno: hard, funky :: electro: dark, minimal, electronica:: too broad to range, house, 80s pop, 70s funk, world music and anything you can imagine.

I also use Korg, Yamaha & Roland hardware, in addition to Ableton 5 (Mac), if a live set was essential I'd be happy to bring my setup.

I have extremely high standards of mixing and sound creation, and a very professional attitude towards making your club dancefloor work just how you want it to.

DJ Notes:
The best techno to emerge from the two most prolific sources of electronic music at the time. Permanently in the mix, blending rhythms and mirroring acid lines - this ain't your average beatmatchin' bonanza. The blends last up to 7 minutes each and the mixing doesn't relent til the final death wail of a Flemish 303. Featuring Technoise, Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram and many more rave rocking retards.

Comment: Nice old techno and acid tracks, and good mixing. Many variation in style and year of the tracks, i like this. 91-96 was the best time in electronic music.
