Biography of Bass Kittens

Bass Kittens - aka Jon Drukman(alias: Artificial Paradise, Random)

JSD has been involved with electronic music professionally since 1992. His first single, Trip Harder, released under the name Ultraviolet Catastrophe, was an underground hit. It has since been featured on the Chemical Brothers' mix CD Brothers Gonna Work It Out. In 1993, JSD started Bass Kittens to put out his own work. A string of 12' singles followed, along with the full-length CD Sweaty Planet. He has released a full length drum and bass CD entitled Too Stoned To Sneeze Without Regretting It under the artist name Random. Some artists he has worked with/produced/remixed: Hardkiss Brothers, Mark Pistel, Freaky Chakra, Single Cell Orchestra, Volsoc, Planet Eater, Mephisto Odyssey, DHS. In 2000 he started Pretension Records with J Bondy & Justin Maxwell, with the aim of pushing West Coast electro. He has written music for film (Black Eyed Dog), TV (Invader Zim), performed live in front of thousands of pornographers (2001 AVN Awards), and released two CDs of sample material through Sonic Foundry.
