Biography of DJ Tessai
Mike has always held interest in music and was curious about the art of mixing due to its creative nature. In the summer of 1996 while in a pool hall, a very bass heavy track blasted the speaker that immediately caught Mike’s attention. The explosive bass lines along with the snappy lyrics of Prodigy are responsible for the spark that fueled the fire in Electronic Dance Music for this upcoming DJ.
In late 1997 it seemed logical to pick up turntables, however there was a little uncertainty on genre exploration. This became evident after attending a field
event put on by D1 & Full Circle. Drum n Bass was a big influence at that time, which could have been seen at events organized by Zedan, True Family, Hazy Daze, Eye2Eye & Global Ent. along with other promoters at such venues as the DMC, Ridgley Theater, Decibel, & Bronco Bowl. Over the next three years Mike attended these events while exploring DnB & collecting vinyl from a local record store called Spin Master’s.
Several changes took place for the EDM community in the year of 2000 which is when Mike decided to experiment with the various forms of house music. It was only until the first of 2002 in which a different kind of beat would change every thing and after a guest appearance on Bass Pressure online radio would leave a remarkable impression on Mike. Now with future in mind, an optimistic attitude & nu school breaks in the soul, he puts forth a valiant effort to fine tune his work for all people from all walks of life to enjoy...
