Biography of Casual Bill
Casual Bill aka Billy Flores
First exposure to electronic music started in summer 1993. The sounds of House, Breakbeat, & Techno were emerging in Dallas, and influenced him at first listen. years later and many parties and clubs afterwards, he was fully immersed in electronic music. After high school he decided to start playing and mixing his own records instead of buying and hunting down so many mix recordings from his favorite DJ's. Lots of Progressive and Hard House were on the menu, with breaks always finding it's way into his sets. Eventually his taste in music shifted and he ditched the 4/4, with breaks, for the most part, taking over his sets entirely. He describes his style as 'Any', because so many forms of Breakbeat are used in his sets. On the production front, Billy is just getting his feet wet; a few of his tracks have been featured on his promotional mixes. Tracks like 'Space Juics' and 'Deadly' have signified the begining of something twisted!! Casual Bill was a name given to him by a friend in High School, and has stuck ever since, but don't let the name fool you, his sets are anything but laid back.
