Biography of Dan Droff

On a Friday the 13th in 1981 Wouter Vergote was born in a belgian city called Antwerp. He grew up in Norway, developing a passion for music which gradually orientated towards electronic music as soon as he moved back to Belgium, at the age of twelve.

Realizing he'd always been the guy that provided music whenever his friends got together, Wouter decided to hit the turntables. He bought a set of turntables and 'Dan Droff' made his first mix on the 1st of january 2000. More concerned about improving his skills than about being a deejay, Wouter spinned his music exclusively in his attic and later on in his student chamber. After four years of practice he started playing at parties and founded the electronic music collective 'silenced'. Silenced was a dream come true, promoting underground, talented artists and throwing parties with friends in the hometown Leuven.

Since then Dan Droff has been playing at silo (silence, siloin?), at las caux (plus/minus), at Machine (click clack) and at other smaller venues.
