Biography of Buster The Vanilla Gorilla
Style: Down Tempo, anything chill, and old school hits
When were you born and where were you raised? I was born in Weslaco, that’s in south Texas. I was raised in Canyon Lake and then New Braunfels.
How did you get the name? Well I wanted to show respect to the two guys that made such an impact in my life. My father and brother, without them in my life I wouldn’t be here nor would I be who I am today. My father and brother will always be the main two gentalmen that I will always respect and honor in my life.
Whom or what gives you Inspiration? Music all around of course, as well as my family and friends. My emotions and life experiences inspire me to in a way.
What are your shows like? Chill not to loud where you would have to yell to the person standing right next to and defiantly not to soft were you cant hear the music. I like to add spice to my music by tossing a track that makes you go oh man I haven’t heard that track in ages or wow that track is really funky. I really like to see a crowd respond to what I’m doing either by me just djing by myself or with my friends. Hell even if my friends say it’s ok to grab a mic I will and try and boost a crowd up.
What types of things could one expect from you when you are playing? Just a chance to catch your breathe reflect on the good in your life, party down with good friends and make great memories with good tracks that can take you either way back or tracks that make you go, “Oh, damn that’s nice.” If you ever get Sean, Nelson, Jacob, and myself together on our 4x5 setup we go off with a bang every time.
