DJ MOCHKO -
Location:
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
United States

I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico and am now living in San Antonio, Texas. Five years ago I followed my now wife Nikki out to Texas, where I bought my first set of turntables and fell in love with electronic music. The three things that make me tick in this world are Nikki, Science, and music of all kinds. I began in 5th grade playing the alto saxophone and found my first niche in music playing jazz baritone sax in high school. Now I co-run a production company, Educators of the Progressive Sound, and besides that I practice on the decks every day. My favorite thing to do is perform live...especially on stage next to my friend and associate, Justin Coffman. Together, we perform a two-man, four-turntable prgressive show with constant mixing of groovy progressive, breaks, and house tracks.

Influences:
Sasha, Mark Farina, John Digweed, Dave Ralph, Hybrid, Grayarea, Slacker, Luke Chable, The Orb, UNKLE, D:Fuse, Deepsky, Fatboy Slim, Rage Against the Machine, 311, Radiohead, A Tribe Called Quest, Sublime, The Roots, Phish, Jim Fierro, Zach Fowler, Justin Coffman...
