Biography of Force of Nature
FORCE OF NATURE (KZA&DJ KENT)
KZA and DJ Kent are DJ/producers of Force of Nature who are presently pioneering new techniques and concept of break beat. They are creating music using their huge collection of vinyl based on their background experience as hip-hop artists.
Force of Nature remix/produce for big artists in and outside of Japan,such as DJ Shadow,Five Deez,Brennan Green,D.C.P.R.G., HALCALI, Sly Mongoose, You the Rock,and Keiichi Sokabe.They collaborated as a DJ with many top DJ's who lead the dance music scene, such as DJ Carl Craig,Shadow, Recloose,Jay Dee, Slow Supreme, Rub n Tag, James Murphy,Andreas, Ayro, and etc.Their original selections of music and a dramatic development held the audience spellbound at every night, and they climbed all the way up into the top of DJ's in Tokyo.
Their first album, The forces of nature,was released worldwide.In addition, they have released their second album 'II' March 2004. The 'II' tour which played at 18 venues in Japan and the USA,included Club APT and P.S.1 MOMA in NY, was a great success. And songs from their second album have also been remixed by the likes of 'Idjust Boys' and Hotlips and Hawkeye on Headinghome Recordings (LA). Recently,both of them are also working actively as solo artists. KZA has released various mix CDs and tapes which more represent his personal style. DJ Kent has released a 12 inch single, 'In the Bush', on Bear Entertainment (UK), and formed a unit called 'Garalude' with musicians like Hiroshi Kawanabe and Noriyoshi Sasanuma. Both of men are attracting much attention.
They also produced music with Nujabes, fat jon the ample soul physician,Tutchie and Afra for 'Samurai Champloo,' which is a Japanese animation directed by Shinichiro Watanabe who is known as a directer of 'Cowboy Bebop' and 'Animatrix.'
Moreover, their 3rd album is due to be released on 24th May, 2006 and 1st 12 inch single from 3rd album will be released in this April. They also have a weekly slot, 'Tokyo Club Mix Showcase',every Monday on Tokyo Shibuya FM.
