Tarmo Vannas, born in January 1982, has been active in the local underground dance music scene in Tallinn, Estonia, for around 10 years. He runs the TechTribe organization, which is considered as the most productive progressive sounds DJ/production/promotion team in Estonia. Resident DJ for TechTribe events. He has a monthly show on friskyRadio web station and a monthly show TechTribe: Essentials on Progressioon program at Radio 2, the biggest station and national radio in Estonia. Hundreds of listeners around the world tune in to his shows via internet to check out the latest quality progressive electronic dance music sounds from around the globe.

The style and type of music he is playing has a main criterion that it's good quality music and it's the music that matters - playing what he feels is the most upfront and developing style of the moment as well as classic sounds that are timeless. At the present his musical direction has evolved into something more unclassified, a mixture of sounds varied from ambient to deep/electro house, trance and breaks while keeping it all progressive, lush and melodic.

In the near future more of his own tracks should get finished and released; also some remix work is currently under way. His remix of Digital Witchcraft's 'Fingerpaint' for Proton Radio label remix competition did not win, but gained support from the likes of Perry O'Neil, Above & Beyond, Greg Benz, Andy Moor, Bobina, Niklas Harding, Matthew Adams, OlliS and so on - that tells a lot about the quality of the productions in the pipeline from this young talent. As a side project as Kattai & Vannas together with his TechTribe team partner Karel Kattai they had a 12' release in January 2005 and more releases are now to follow on various labels. Continuing with his TechTribe radio shows, playing at various clubs and events, and work on the production and remixes, he is now getting ready to build his DJ/producer career into international territories.
