Biography of Agent Orange

A True Artist
One of New York's top Techno DJs, Agent Orange has performed across the globe (Greece, Holland, France, Belgium, Italy, S. Korea, Colombia, and Venezuela), side by side with some of the biggest techno titans, including Christian Smith , Adam Beyer, Misstress Barbara, Cristian Varela, Deetron, and Ben Sims, (just to name a few) . Agent has also toured across North America, held numerous residencies, and was a regular at Christian Smith's Tronic Treatment .

Spinning since 1987, Agent has developed a remarkable ear as a DJ and now boasts over 35 crates of vinyl. A serious producer since 1997, he is also co-founder, A&R, and one of the main artists on his own Gotham Grooves label and has recently been signed to Monika Kruse's prestigious Terminal M imprint ( Berlin).

A Unique Techno Sound
Agent Orange strives hard to add creativity, originality, and a new sound to his own musical productions and his DJ sets. Simply put, Agent's hard groovy beats make you shake it on the dance floor! His foundation is Funky and Hard Techno, but by using his refined DJ skills, he takes his dance floors to the next level by presenting many different elements, such as Tribal, Latin & Jazzy, and is well known for dropping in a classic tune to turn the energy up.

Imagine if you were to take the purity and raw energy of Techno, and infuse it with the intelligent groove and dirty, filthy, funky beats of House…now you're getting the true Agent Orange experience!

Influences: Carl Cox, Christian Smith, Monika Kruse, Stanny Franssen, Richie Hawtin, Derrick Carter

Up Next
Look out for new releases and remixes by Agent Orange on Gotham Grooves, Terminal M, and Ade Fenton's Advanced (U.K.). Also watch out for his Gotham Grooves remix of Cristian Varela, and a Danilo Vigorito's remix of Agent's upcoming track “Ready2Fight” ( Gotham Grooves 10/04). Without a doubt, Agent will continue delivering his exciting, creative brand of Techno to many labels and clubs throughout the world.

Agent Orange (Ara Krikorian) is on a mission to shape the future of electronic music. His contribution to the global scene has included releases and remixes on the widely respected labels, Terminal M, Advanced, 773 Tekno, and 9 releases on his own label Gotham Grooves. His tracks, as well as others on his label, have appeared on mix CD's by world renowned DJ's Carl Cox (UK), Eric Sneo (Germany), DJ Mayuri (Japan), DJ Lucca (Czech Republic) and others. New music and remixes by Agent Orange will be released on Gotham Grooves, Ade Fenton’s Advanced, Terminal M/Electric Avenue and Monoid.
