Biography of DJ Meshkov
Alex Meshkov was born in an old beautiful Russian city Smolensk.
In 1989 he moved to Moscow; from 1990 till 1993 he studied at the Moscow Medical Academy. Then he sharply changed his activity, and from 1994 till 1998 with the support of legendary Ptyuch magazine he became a very popular underground clothes designer. In 1996 he received the Golden Ptyuch Award as the best underground clothes designer of 1996.
Alex first tried his hands as a club DJ at the end of 1996, and pretty soon, in 1997 and 1998 he was already hosting his own radio shows at the radio SubStation. After SubStation was closed, he kept on working at the Station 2000 radio, then - on the Dynamite FM.
Today DJ Meshkoff is a resident of Mix club, and regularly plays in the internet-pub Phlrgmatic Dog, Rynda Party and other clubs. He also takes part in numerous techno events in Moscow and visits other Russian cities.
Meshkoff's project - Noon(at - is very popular in Russia and abroad. His albums and singles were released in Germany on Treibstoff, Konvex-Konkav, Salo and Trapez, and in Russia - on Citadel Rec.
His favorite styles are minimal techno, deep, techno, tech-house.
