Biography of Fusion 9

Everything was started in the middle of '90s but they met only in 2001 on a tram in Budapest where decided to try to play together and to create a new party series in Szolnok. It was the first techno party serial in East Hungary where only dark and offbeat techno was played. From this time on, they started to play on bigger parties and events all around Hungary and from 2003 in the Eastern Europe. In 2001 they joined the group of Factory of Island as permanent resident DJs.
Their most important gigs were in the well-known Kashmir Underground Club, and the legendary Supersonic Technikum in Budapest, the Ucko/U-club in Bratislava etc. On these events they played with lots of great DJs and producers, Surgeon, Reeko, Takaaki Itoh, Christian Wünsch, Toky, Agent, Boss, Loktibrada, Supagrupa, Hu, etc. In 2002 they started to experiment with basic music programs and were influenced by the Birmingham style. They set about to produce music and to dj professionally. It was always a challenge them to play this unknown, dark and experimental side of techno.
Nowadays they are playing dark techno, offbeat, hard minimal, industrial and noise under project Fusion 9. Usually it's a live and DJ set, a really energetic, hard and noisy performance played on 3 turntables and with Ableton Live.

Comment: Hmm, that's one of my favourite live and DJ set. As I mentioned before I like the F9 guys so much, I think they're the best but most underrated darktechno DJs/producers in Hungary. Fortunately I could listen to them many times, and I was at the Spaceparade, too, where this set was recorded. Boss, Pounder and Wildcrush kicked everyone's ass :-)
