Biography of Marcos Romero

born august 1972 in sayago, montevideo in uruguay, marcos romero is a classically trained musician, composer, dj, and electronic music producer. he has been a dj since he was 13 years old. romero took part in the beginnings of the electronic music scene in south america. he was also a member of the legendary hip-hop bands critical zone and nostromo. he has produced under the aliases madcos, or madcos d psycho with many artists and bands, and has made music for short films. he arrived in the us in 2003, and started working on remixes for several artists. in 2004 he collaborated in the production of glass cuts, a philip glass remixed album. as if that's not enough to keep him busy, marcos is also a curator for the net label sursumcorda.

Comment: Romero created a mindblowing set...a journey through acoustic dream worlds. Odd melodies and smooth minimal beats seduce to dream away the following 2 hours.

Between mins 54:00 and 55:15 the moderator is talking some bullshit. Very annoying. But anyway i can strongly recommend it to all those who like eccentric and intelligent music. (like i do ;-))
