Biography of DJ Mem

DJ Mem got into electronic music around 1995 with influences from some ‘futuristic’ Portuguese DJ’S. After a couple of years djing, Mem starts creating his own beats and ‘moody’ rhythms with the primary MC 303. Surprised with some releases in Portuguese labels got motivated to keep producing.

Although, he never left the dj business and keep practicing and improving his technique to really high levels.

In 1998 his best friend and Portuguese master DJ Zé Mig.l, invited him to work in his shop, where he had contact with loads of ‘serious’ electronic equipment.

With new ‘toys’ and his strong Chicago accent, had a release on Ibi’s label Semi-Automatic, chartered by the famous German DJ Acid Maria on Groove magazine, etc….

Moved by love, Mem went to London where he founded his own label, Nasty Colour, which had an excellent beginning with NC 01 and NC 02 chartered by the legend Dave Clarke, DJ Bam Bam and more techno ‘experts’ around the world.
So keep an eye on him because this guy promises a ‘nasty’ and ‘colourful’ future.
