Biography of Jay Vasseur
Hailing from Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, Jay Vaseur has spent most of his entire life manipulating sound in one way or another. At the young age of 9, Jay started playing guitar and eventually developed a love for psychedelic and ambient music such as early Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett and Brian Eno to name a few.
Jay moved in '97 to Toronto to attend a recording arts program and was exposed to the underground sounds of electronic music. Diving in head first, Jay absorbed all that he could and took his love of progressive house and knowledge of audio engineering back to the East Coast with him.
Jay Vasseur has the ability to combine all genres of house and breaks into a unique style of his own with blends that are smooth and seamless and always captivating. After 5 years of DJing around the East Coast of Canada, with several residencies including the self-run Sound Of Soul Fridays, Jay has fully immersed himself into producing the music that he loves and knows so well, House Music.
Jay Vasseur has recently been signed on as an independent artist with EDMDigital releasing several tracks with more in the works. His tracks encompass everything that he loves about music from the warm grooves of deep house to the lush atmospheric soundscapes of progressive house and breaks and ambient. Look out for more progressive music coming your way in the near future from this up and coming DJ/producer.
