Biography of Kriss Kortz
Rocked by the funk, hip hop and pop music of the Eighties, Kriss started to get impassioned for electronic and dance music in 92. Quickly, he found his principal influences in sounds of Detroit Techno, and Chicago House and started to get impassioned for Djing with listening sets of legendary artists, dj's like Derrick May, Juan Atkins or Laurent Garnier.
Since 2 years, career of this french, rhône-alpin dj aged of 26 has been in constant evolution. In 2004, he was selected by famous Loft Electroclub in Lausanne during a 'new talent party'. His set will be noticed by the current programmer of Loft, Mirko Loko, which gave him the possibility to play again for the club. Then he played again some eclectics sets between, House, Electro and Techno, with some big artists like English top dj/producer Paul Mac, or lately with Jack de Marseille and David Caretta.
Member of the french-swiss dj's collective called Techno Collective, he usually plays with it, in some parties with swiss dj's Nicky Carson, Albruic, Yosko and his Swit Honey duo with Anja.
In 2005, Kriss started his producer career , and he started it very goodly, while being selected among last Laurent Garnier's remix contest winners. Since, gave rise to a new Detroit influenced label with dj Maxx-T aka Evolutive system, called, Code316 recordings. He is working on this label under the name of Life Recorder.
