Biography of Opal2000
020200 is the very Mr. 2063. From A&R to the grafic style all is mainly made by him. He is very infected by the 'do-it-yourself' principle. Since early childhood he's working on grafics in context of music. He made his first skechtes at the age of 4. Then he began and still continues to experiment with computers and making artworks for mixtapes and releases. 'Making artworks is like gardening: plant seeds and watch it grow.'
The most mindbending thing in 020200s life was the confrontation with homecomputers. First the C16, after that the Commodore Amiga. At the time of 2001/2002 he got very uncomfortable, because his thinking was far more digital-minded than the surrounding world was. But now with mobile computing all is becoming well again. The laptop is the most basic tool for the artist today.
'Coding is the ultimate way of customizing the tools and to do-it-youself in your own style. It is the best way to get deep into things. Then think in a macroscopic way!'
